Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Development Specialist to join our team. This role will provide strategic HR support to clinical operation teams across DHIP, acting as a central figure to deliver human resources solutions for specified client groups.


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop a deep understanding of the organization's vision, strategic direction, and business objectives to ensure effective HR alignment and support.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provide advice and counsel to management and employees on policy interpretation, performance management, disciplinary action, compensation, leaves of absence, employee relations, and other HR-related matters.
  • Work closely with colleagues in Duke Staff & Labor Relations, compliance, and specialized areas of HR to facilitate efficient and effective support for the organization.
  • Analyze data, trends, and metrics to inform business decisions and identify strategic solutions.
  • Participate in the implementation of organization-wide HR projects, such as employee engagement surveys and multi-cultural awareness programs.
  • Escalate organizational issues or challenges and prepare reports, analyses, and other written communication as necessary.

Requirements



  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, or equivalent.
  • Two years of business, administrative, and/or supervisory experience with exposure to supervisory or human resource policies and practices related to employee relations.
  • A master's degree in a related field may be substituted for 2 years of experience.
  • PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP, SHRM SCP Certification preferred.

Location


The position is located in Durham, NC, with a competitive salary range of $85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience.
