Position Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) plays a vital role within a growing healthcare organization. This position is essential for delivering high-quality care in urology across multiple locations.

Job Responsibilities

As an APP, you will:
  • Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations for both new and returning patients.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Provide follow-up and health maintenance care in line with established standards.
  • Initiate necessary treatments and diagnostic tests based on patient evaluations.
  • Evaluate post-operative patients and manage routine follow-up appointments.
  • Be available for same-day patient visits as needed.
  • Educate patients on health-related issues and document care according to guidelines.
  • Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedures as directed.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Inpatient Responsibilities

In the hospital setting, the APP will:
  • Conduct rounds and manage consults.
  • Communicate effectively with surgical teams and on-call physicians.
  • Document admissions and progress notes accurately.
  • Assist in surgical procedures as required, ensuring all necessary equipment is available.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • A Master's degree or higher in nursing or completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Relevant clinical experience in a surgical setting is preferred.
  • Licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or as a Physician Assistant in the relevant state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
