Role Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Configuring and sustaining observability features of applications and infrastructure in collaboration with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and AIOps.
  • Monitoring and establishing Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs) through the customer experience; advising on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and creating error budgets.
  • Analyzing and fine-tuning applications for performance and availability using DevSecOps methodologies to ensure compliance with Load, Stability, Scalability, and Reliability benchmarks.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive monitoring dashboards.
  • Implementing application performance management and analytics solutions utilizing tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, and Akamai.
  • Tracking application stability trends and identifying areas for performance enhancement.
  • Automating system scalability and enhancing system resilience, performance, and efficiency; recommending design improvements for reliability.
  • Collaborating with Incident and Problem Management teams to facilitate blameless Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and postmortems.
  • Defining and refining AI-based analytics to balance rapid root cause analysis with minimizing false positives.
  • Developing advanced automated monitoring and alerting solutions for software delivery and production environments.
  • Implementing observability frameworks using tools like Dynatrace, ServiceNow, Ansible, and AWS Cloud Watch.
  • Contributing innovative solutions using cutting-edge technologies.
  • Enabling next-generation alerting and self-healing solutions for IT assets.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) or an advanced degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, along with over eight years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Dynatrace, LoadRunner, and Splunk for performance analysis and monitoring solutions.
  • Expertise in cloud-native technologies, including containerization and microservices architecture.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to identify root causes of issues.
  • Experience with APM tools in large enterprise settings.
  • Familiarity with application server instrumentation (Java) and various monitoring techniques.
  • Experience in Agile, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering practices.
  • Knowledge of Event Management in ServiceNow is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to mentor team members and engineering teams.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Dynatrace Certified Associate.
  • AWS Solution Architect - Associate.
  • Splunk Core Certified Power User.
  • Splunk Core Certified Advanced Power User.
  • Additional AWS certifications are a plus.
