Position Overview:

This role is primarily remote, with the first day onsite required and additional visits as needed.

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in supporting teams that develop Enterprise Web Applications.
  • Familiarity with both Web-Based and Client/Server Applications.
  • Proficient in utilizing JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, and GitHub.
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Development methodologies.
  • 11-15 years of experience in Business Analysis.
  • 11-15 years of experience in the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • 11-15 years of experience in requirements gathering and documentation.
  • 11-15 years of experience with MS Office and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Business Analyst role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of Web-Enabled and Client/Server Applications, data structures, and the optimization of business processes related to application programs.
  • This position involves collaborating with subject matter experts to gather requirements, validate, interpret, and translate business needs into technical specifications, as well as engaging in business re-engineering, high- and low-level design, application testing, and implementation with minimal guidance.
  • Participate in specification reviews throughout the software lifecycle and analyze dependencies between development projects.
  • Engage with Quality Assurance by contributing to test plan reviews and attending triage meetings.
  • Ensure that technologies remain current, stable, and compliant with Atlassian tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop comprehensive requirements.
  • Utilize Jenkins and GitHub effectively.
  • Monitor and report on performance utilization concerning business requirements proactively.
  • Assess the best strategies for fulfilling business needs and provide consultative expertise to clients on optimal system usage.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
  • May coordinate efforts with application developers.
  • Identify best practices and standards for product utilization.
  • Provide support and design for industry-specific applications requiring integration with statewide systems or applications.
  • Engage with executive-level business users or technical experts.
