Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Order Processor to join our team at Brook + Whittle. As an Order Processor, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing orders, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and enter orders for products received via various channels, including internet, email, phone, and mail.
  • Provide customers with information regarding product prices and availability.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls from customers regarding product inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Route orders received by the Order Processing Department and ensure accurate processing and delivery.
  • Review orders for accurate pricing, spelling, and other information, and contact customers to confirm missing or additional information.
  • Prepare and ensure the completeness of order jackets and submit to Quality Assurance.
  • Compute prices, discounts, and shipping charges on label orders and quote requests.
  • Retrieve quote requests from the Quote Queue and complete the quote or send to the appropriate area for completion.
  • Outsource orders to other vendors, complete follow-up on order, including confirmation, shipping charges, tracking numbers, activation, and invoicing.
  • Handle special accounts, which may require special procedures.
Requirements
  • A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • One or more years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • General computer skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Prior customer service experience and technical printing knowledge are helpful.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in sometimes complex situations.
  • Incumbent regularly required to use color vision, grasp, reach, and sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Computer savvy and comfortable with technology.
  • A charismatic and dynamic in-person and phone communicator.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle conflict and manage customer expectations.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled at juggling multiple tasks at a time.
  • Strong proofreading and grammar skills.
  • Reliable with a strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions
  • Environment is typically general office, though the incumbent may spend short periods in the manufacturing environments with exposure including but not limited to dust, dirt, high noise levels, and variations in temperature.
  • Incumbent constantly required to hear, speak, articulate, and use manual dexterity.
