Shipping Operations Manager

The Shipping Team Lead is a key member of the EDCOAT Shipping department team. This full-time non-exempt position is based in New, Carlisle Indiana. This is a 1st shift position with normal working hours of Monday - Friday, 7am-3:30pm.
Key Responsibilities- Assist customers, drivers, and material handlers with incoming and outgoing material.
- Coordinate with material handlers to ensure orders are pulled and loaded in a timely manner.
- Confirm material is not damaged at time of receiving and shipping.
- Ensure customers receive all product requested.
- Verify documents are signed by driver and files accordingly.
- Inform CSRs of major discrepancies.
- Ensure proper handling/receiving procedures of any hazardous materials have been maintained.
- Monitor inventory locations are updated.
- Validate cycle counting is being performed.
- Forklift and crane operation to move material.
- In events of call offs or PTO coverage, work OT as needed up to 12 hrs/day.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Customer services skills.
- 6 months computer experience required.
EDCOAT operates in a 260,000 sq. ft. facility in New Carlisle, IN and provides coating for all types of metals including aluminum, cold rolled, galvanized, stainless steel and more to a wide range of customers throughout North America.
