Certified Medication Aide

The Certified Medication Aide is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for delivering quality care to patients during the admission and readmission process. This role requires a strong understanding of applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
Responsibilities
* Oversee scheduling for nurses and aides in the building, ensuring seamless coordination of care.
* Prepare, administer, store, and document medications as per facility protocols and physician orders.
* Develop and implement procedures to assess potential medication errors, identifying areas for improvement.
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation, adhering to company policies and standards.
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Graduate of a State-approved CNA program and currently registered/licensed in applicable State.
* One year of geriatric nursing experience preferred, with CPR certification upon hire or during orientation.
* Completed a State-approved program and exam for Certified Medication Aide.
Essential Functions
* Accurately prepare and administer medications, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans, promoting positive patient outcomes.
* Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, providing a positive experience for patients and families.
