Procurement Specialist

At A & M Warshaw Plumbing & Heating Inc, we are seeking a skilled Procurement Manager to develop and implement purchasing strategies that optimize inventory control and ensure timely availability of materials and supplies.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of experience as a plumbing purchasing manager or agent. Active plumbing experience is a plus, and leadership and supervisory experience are essential.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing purchasing strategies to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Reviewing and processing purchase orders, maintaining records of goods ordered and received
- Tracking and reporting key functional metrics to optimize inventory control and ensure timely availability of materials and supplies
- Crafting negotiation strategies and closing deals with optimal terms
- Building and maintaining relationships with vendors, scheduling deliveries and ensuring timely fulfillment of orders
Key qualifications include:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to analyze costs, mitigate risks, and determine optimal delivery quantities and timings
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work with stakeholders to forecast market trends and ensure clear requirements documentation
