Job Summary

Intercare Holdings Insurance Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Claims Supervisor to lead our Workers Compensation Claims team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the claims process, ensuring compliance with Labor Code rules and regulations, and providing guidance to Claims Specialists and Assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Claims Management: Oversee the timely completion of performance reviews, provide monetary approval authority, and maintain selected files.
  • Leadership and Coaching: Provide ongoing advice, mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback to Claims Specialists and Assistants.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all claims are handled in accordance with applicable statutes and company rules, and identify and develop corrective action plans as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a spirit of teamwork and cooperation between Claims personnel and other departments.
  • Project Management: Develop project plans, coordinate projects, and communicate changes and progress.
  • Change Management: Develop workable implementation plans, communicate changes effectively, and build commitment and overcome resistance.
  • Leadership and Development: Inspire and motivate others to perform well, effectively influence actions and opinions of others, and provide vision and inspiration to peers and subordinates.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or one to two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Technical Skills: Five or more years of progressive technical claim experience, demonstrating a high degree of judgment and discretion, and capable of providing adequate guidance on complex claim cases and negotiating settlements effectively.
