Position Overview
At Elderwood, we believe in building a fulfilling career rather than just finding a job. We are currently in search of a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant who will play a crucial role in enhancing the well-being of our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Physical Therapist in the formulation, development, and execution of treatment plans for residents.
  • Document observations regarding residents' behavior and progress in Progress Notes.
  • Maintain accurate statistical records and departmental reports as required by the Physical Therapist.
  • Participate in in-service training programs as needed.
  • Ensure supplies are well-maintained and assist in the daily sanitation of equipment.
  • Adhere to scheduled work hours and utilize the electronic timekeeping system.
  • Uphold confidentiality of resident information and privacy while performing job duties.
  • Comply with the facility's dress code, including wearing a name tag at all times.

Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program is mandatory.
  • A valid New York State license to practice is required.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification is essential.
  • This role necessitates regular interaction with residents, colleagues, visitors, and supervisors.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language at an intermediate level or higher is required to ensure effective communication.
