The Leidos National Security Sector is on the lookout for a seasoned Mobile Applications Architect to take charge of a dynamic group of application developers, designers, and project leads for a pivotal Intelligence Community client.

This essential position requires you to guide a team in the creation and enhancement of a mobile intelligence delivery platform for both iOS and Android, aimed at superseding an outdated system.

The application will enable the aggregation of intelligence from diverse sources, producing customizable digital insights for high-level leadership, including the Office of the Secretary of Defense and various combatant commands.

Additionally, the application will support global collaboration and leverage artificial intelligence/machine learning to provide intelligence recommendations.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong technical background in both front-end and back-end development and be enthusiastic about promoting teamwork to deliver cohesive and innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of application developers and designers, conducting thorough research to identify optimal strategies for modernizing existing applications.
• Develop a system that enables intelligence delivery through platform-agnostic digital devices.
• Collaborate with government stakeholders and other technical leads to establish project requirements, objectives, and timelines.
• Ensure developed solutions align with the network operating environment and adhere to security protocols.
• Prioritize system availability, reliability, and scalability as the user base expands.
• Create responsive and user-friendly interfaces utilizing modern front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and XML.
• Implement back-end technologies including SQL databases and server-side languages to ensure a secure and efficient architecture.
• Ensure compatibility with other applications within the organization.
• Adopt best practices in software development, including Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
• Monitor project progress, tackle technical challenges, adjust priorities to meet deadlines, and provide regular updates to management.

What We Need From You:

• An active TS/SCI security clearance with the ability to obtain a Polygraph.
• A Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent experience with over 10 years in software development or technology management; or 8 years of experience with a Master’s degree.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience in mobile development using Swift, Java, or similar cross-platform technologies.
• Knowledge of database design and development (SQL, NoSQL) and familiarity with search technologies (Elasticsearch, Solr).
• Experience in overseeing application development and delivering updates to government stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing a software development team through a government ATO process.
• Background in developing unclassified software for use in classified environments.

Compensation:

The pay range for this position is $122,000 to $220,900. This range serves as a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation. Factors influencing the offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, and internal equity.
