Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Systems Architect is responsible for designing and defining the architecture of new or existing computer systems. This encompasses coordinating system development, including design, modeling, security, integration, and formal testing.

Specific Duties Include:
  • Contributing to the completion of targeted engineering programs and projects
  • Developing solutions for a range of complex engineering challenges
  • Executing intricate systems design, development, and integration throughout the entire systems life cycle
  • Overseeing complex infrastructure, including the installation, configuration, testing, and maintenance of operating systems, application software, and system management tools
  • Conducting advanced systems modeling, simulation, and analysis
  • Preparing and maintaining documentation for processes and procedures related to engineering projects
  • Staying informed about rapidly evolving technology
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to junior professionals
  • Possibly serving as a team or task lead
Qualifications:

Education:
BA/BS or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience

Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of relevant systems engineering experience
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required with eligibility for a CI polygraph

Essential Skills:
  • Linux system administration
  • Scripting / Coding (Bash, Python, etc.)
  • Kubernetes
  • Ansible
  • Helm charts
  • Automation

Preferred Skills:
Expertise in one of the following areas, along with a working knowledge of one or more of the others:

  • Operational support
  • Virtualization technologies (VMware, virtual networking, vROPS, XenServer/XCP-ng)
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux, YUM, Satellite, Capsule technologies
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
