What Will Your Role Entail?

As a Senior Systems Architect at Mission Intelligence Group, you will be instrumental in guiding engineering teams to navigate complex issues within the National System of Geospatial-intelligence (NSG), Allied System of Geospatial-intelligence (ASG), and Federal Agencies. Your duties will encompass leading requirements engineering, solutions engineering, and performing analyses to enhance current systems and infrastructure. By offering expert guidance and strategic technical planning, you will play a vital role in the ongoing enhancement and innovation of our IT solutions.

Moreover, you will supervise and coordinate the efforts of contractor Systems Engineers, ensuring smooth integration and collaboration across various systems and acquisitions. This position presents an exciting chance to significantly influence the geospatial intelligence domain and help shape the future of our technological capabilities.

A comprehensive understanding of systems engineering principles and experience in requirements engineering, solutions engineering, and systems integration are vital for success in this role. Additionally, having a strategic outlook and the capability to provide expert advice on technical planning and risk management will be highly advantageous in fostering innovation and excellence in our projects.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering or related technical/scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or equivalent expert-level experience as a Systems Engineer.
  • Extensive experience in government or industry in relevant areas including: DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process, or systems engineering of large complex System of Systems or Service Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
  • Thorough understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Doctorate in Systems Engineering or related technical/scientific fields.
  • Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering, processes, tools, and languages.
  • Certification in Software Development Framework.
  • INCOSE Expert System Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.
  • Licensure as a professional engineer.
  • Active participation in professional organizations such as ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, or USGIF.
  • Extensive experience in the geospatial intelligence field.
  • Experience in engineering solutions utilizing Cloud-Based Technology, including Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), On-demand self-service, Broad network access, Resource pooling, Rapid elasticity, Measured Service, Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
  • Experience in engineering solutions using structured and unstructured Big Data.
