Job Overview

Position Summary:
The Senior Software Solutions Architect is responsible for spearheading the design and development of sophisticated software solutions tailored to intricate application challenges. This role encompasses API design, data services, platform services, cloud services, and infrastructure services, ensuring alignment with user requirements and strategic objectives within the Enterprise Architecture framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and evolve essential Enterprise Architecture (EA) products to create a comprehensive blueprint for organizational IT transformation, focusing on business functions, necessary data, application management, and supporting technologies.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to define IT solution roadmaps, develop architectural designs, and evaluate emerging technologies.
  • Design current and future state architectures that enhance user experience and operational excellence, providing recommendations on strategic architectural considerations.
  • Produce architectural artifacts that outline the structure, characteristics, and workflows of proposed solutions for project stakeholders.
  • Research and integrate innovative solutions utilizing both proprietary and open-source software, while developing technology roadmaps that encompass various service models.
  • Ensure the architecture remains loosely coupled through effective API management and microservices, establishing standards for both internal and external use.
  • Offer architectural guidance to facilitate Agile/DevSecOps methodologies, modern architectures, and cloud migration initiatives.
  • Assist in generating and integrating key architecture products, including Business, Data, Application, and Technical Architecture, to provide a holistic view of the organization.
  • Conduct gap analyses to identify discrepancies between current and target architectures, addressing user requirements and migration risks.
  • Utilize data science techniques to enhance reportability of Enterprise Requirements, streamlining integration and automation processes.
  • Support the delivery of data visualization through appropriate applications, translating technical requirements into accessible language for stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent expert-level experience.
  • Proven experience across Business, Data, Application, and Technology architecture domains.
  • Expertise in developing architectural frameworks, including current and future state models, and familiarity with cloud solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of modern architectural practices, including service-oriented architecture and DevSecOps.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture modeling tools and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with NGA missions and systems.
  • Experience documenting architecture best practices and guidelines.
