POSITION SUMMARY:

Targa Resources is seeking a Senior Natural Gas Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic team in a pivotal role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Oversee both term and daily trading operations for natural gas across Targa's various business units.
  • Coordinate gas transportation procurement tailored to asset requirements and customer specifications.
  • Formulate and implement trading optimization strategies to enhance the performance of Targa's assets.
  • Manage supply logistics for the downstream customer portfolio effectively.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with industry counterparts and contacts to facilitate trading initiatives and stay informed on market trends.
  • Support long-term origination efforts aimed at new growth strategies for supply and end users connected to Targa's assets.
  • Provide assistance across other Targa trading sectors, including Permian, Oklahoma, and Gulf Coast regions.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent trading experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the natural gas midstream sector and trading practices is essential.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in natural gas marketing is required.
  • At least 7 years of experience in natural gas-related fields.
  • Familiarity with financial trading and hedging methodologies.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of personnel and management.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and results-driven, demonstrating accountability and ownership of tasks.
  • Excellent analytical abilities, capable of identifying and investigating irregularities.
  • Outstanding organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Adaptable in a fast-paced environment, managing change positively and proactively.
  • Proficient in building effective working relationships that foster teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, professional demeanor in challenging situations.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance is expected.
