Job Summary

The Operations Manager at Flagship Facility Services will be responsible for overseeing all customer accounts, maintaining, and growing them to their full potential. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Managing employees and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Maintaining long-term customer relationships and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Working with supervisors to maintain facilities and ensure compliance with all tasks and training.
Available Shifts

The Operations Manager will be required to work a variety of shifts, including:

  • First shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm
  • Second shift: 2:00pm - 10:30pm
  • Third shift: 10:00pm - 6:30am

Essential Functions

The Operations Manager will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring proper staffing to meet client needs.
  • Ensuring all supplies, materials, and work performed meet quality and budgetary standards.
  • Maintaining the operating condition and security of all tools and equipment.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete inventory of company materials, supplies, equipment, and tools.
  • Conducting inspections to ensure company quality standards are maintained.
  • Evaluating the performance of employees and providing feedback.
  • Conducting regular training sessions for employees on job procedures and safety.
  • Conducting regular meetings with field supervisors and leads to review ongoing work and procedures.
  • Attending all training and meetings given by Flagship Facility Services leadership team.
  • Meeting with customers to ensure their needs are being met and to solicit additional work.
  • Overseeing all janitorial operations.
  • Managing supervisors who oversee staff.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of all customer accounts.
  • Managing job starts.
  • Managing safety program.
  • Managing operations budget.
Knowledge and Skills

The Operations Manager should possess:

  • Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in maintenance work.
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to lead others and motivate people.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Kronos timekeeper.
  • Able to work independently or with little or no supervision.
Education and Work Experience

The Operations Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Management, or Statistics, or equivalent.
  • Five to ten years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the janitorial/facilities field.
Work Environment

The Operations Manager will work in a fast-paced office environment with a high sense of urgency. The noise level is usually moderate, and the employee will be exposed to a combination of normal office-type environments and shop environments. Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, and noise.

Physical Demands

The Operations Manager will be required to:

  • Stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, or hear.
  • Physical requirements include stooping, standing, climbing, and frequent lifting of a minimum of 40 lbs. of office and facilities equipment.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Requirements

The Operations Manager must:

  • Have a clean DMV record.
  • Pass a criminal background screening.
  • Be authorized to work in the U.S.
