Key Responsibilities
  • Process patient demographics, insurance information, and patient charges in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Obtain necessary information from patients and providers to ensure accuracy and completeness of referrals.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and insurance carriers to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Manage patient schedules and appointments, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and confidentiality protocols.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of experience in a medical office setting, with a strong understanding of medical office software and procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with patients, providers, and insurance carriers.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient in the use of EPIC systems and other medical office software.
  • Familiarity with CPT and ICD9-CM coding processes.
  • Knowledge of multiple payor billing requirements and coding standards.
