Medical Office Coordinator

Overview:
Novant Health Ortho & Sports Medicine is seeking a skilled Patient Services Coordinator to provide timely and accurate recordings of patient demographics, insurance information, and patient charges. The ideal candidate will process referrals, obtain necessary information from patients and providers, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of referrals. They will also communicate complex information to patients in a clear and concise manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process referrals and obtain necessary information from patients and providers
- Record patient demographics, insurance information, and patient charges
- Communicate complex information to patients in a clear and concise manner
- Schedule referral appointments or provide patients with necessary information to schedule appointments

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- Three years of experience in a medical office setting, required
- Additional skills required: knowledge of medical office software, CPT and ICD9-CM coding processes, excellent verbal communication skills, and ability to work with changing priorities
