Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Specialist to join our team at Hawthorn Medical Associates. As a key member of our pediatric department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Scheduling appointments and managing patient flow to ensure efficient use of physician time
  • Managing patient referrals and prior authorizations to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Providing excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare providers
  • Collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure accurate and timely communication

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years of prior medical secretary or medical office experience preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and medical terminology a plus
