We are currently seeking a full-time Customer Service Specialist I to join our Call Center team. The ideal candidate will be reliable, capable of multitasking, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. A self-motivated team player is essential in this dynamic and challenging work environment. The incumbent will demonstrate excellent phone etiquette, exceptional service skills, and the ability to identify member needs to recommend and sell SDFCU products and services that meet those needs. This role operates in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment with weekly, monthly, and annual production, service, and sales goals. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet and exceed personal and departmental objectives.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- One year of customer service experience with proven sales and service skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to handle a high volume of inbound calls efficiently.
- Professional phone manner and clear speaking voice.
- Effective oral communication skills with demonstrated listening abilities.
- Resourcefulness and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in a Windows software environment.
- Accurate typing of 35 w.p.m. desired.
- Effective writing skills with attention to grammar and composition.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
