Job Overview:


The SAP Financial Solutions Architect plays a crucial role in maximizing the financial benefits across the Valent group of companies. This position collaborates closely with finance leaders to align SAP technology solutions with strategic financial objectives. The architect will work in partnership with the global delivery team to implement essential SAP FICO solutions effectively. Additionally, this role supports business users in adopting SAP S4 HANA Finance and Controlling functionalities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement financial solutions utilizing SAP to enhance accounting efficiency and accuracy.
  • Facilitate the definition, design, coding, testing, and deployment of workflows, reports, integrations, customizations, enhancements, and forms.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to enhance existing SAP functionalities and develop new features as required.
  • Analyze root causes to provide solutions for production and development, ensuring optimal performance of systems and objects using best practices.
  • Recommend SAP best practices throughout the project to ensure proper implementation of releases and upgrades.
  • Author technical documentation for inclusion in the Knowledge Center Knowledge Base.

Qualifications:


Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in implementing and managing SAP S/4 HANA FICO Module across various manufacturing and distribution sectors, including at least 2 years as an SAP FICO Solution Architect.


Advanced knowledge of SAP S/4 HANA, preferably version 1809 and above, including FICO solution design and configuration, testing, integration with SAP logistics modules, user training, data migration, and post-go-live support activities.


Familiarity with Open Text - Vendor Invoice Management Module in SAP for Accounts Payable Invoice processing and production support.


Strong experience in finance application reporting and analytical systems.


Proficient in preparing Functional Specifications and assisting in the development of Technical Specifications for new changes and enhancements.


Experience with ABAP and other SAP-specific technologies such as IDocs, BAPIs, and RFCs.


Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and General Ledger applications.


Excellent communication, organizational, and coordination skills.


Education:
BA/BS or equivalent

Travel Requirements:
Limited travel to various locations.
