About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a vital role in supporting the execution of our nursing strategic plan and priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Support: Provide administrative support to Nurse leadership, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and effective coordination of staffing.
  • Clinical Expertise: Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate nursing practice and the nursing care delivery system, with direct supervision of front-line staff.
  • Quality and Safety: Support throughput, quality, and safety outcomes, staff competency, hiring, clinical and staff corrective actions, unit efficiency, quality care, and other departmental activities to support the mission, vision, and values of Hackensack Meridian Health.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Serve as a role model for staff in all aspects of nursing, including professionalism and quality care. Interprets, supports, and communicates policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Special Projects: Assume special projects as assigned, and perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Requirements
  • Clinical Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required, with a strong focus on oncology nursing experience and chemotherapy/biotherapy certification preferred.
  • Education and Certifications: BSN required, MSN preferred, with current and valid New Jersey Nursing license required. BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Demonstrated clinical competence, with strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs.
