We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a critical role in supporting the execution of our nursing strategic plan and priorities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide operational and administrative support to Nurse leadership, ensuring seamless execution of nursing practices and policies.
- Coordinate staffing, support throughput, quality and safety outcomes, staff competency, hiring, clinical and staff corrective actions, unit efficiency, quality care, and other departmental activities.
- Assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate nursing practice and the nursing care delivery system with direct supervision of front-line staff.
- Interpret, support, and communicate policies, standards, and procedures to staff.
- Serve as a role model for staff in all aspects of nursing, including professionalism and quality care.
- Assist in identifying cost containment measures by identifying alternative measures of product utilization within the department.
- Serve on-call based on unit requirements.
- Assume special projects as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
- Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license.
- Bachelor's of Science in Nursing required, MSN a plus.
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR certification required.
- ACLS required.
- Current CCRN required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Demonstrated clinical competence with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
- CRRT Balloon pump experience required.
- 5 years of Critical Care nursing experience highly preferred.
- Prior Assistant Manager or Supervisor experience highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and motivational skills.
- Critical thinking, program development, and project management skills.
- Skilled in group facilitation and/or team building.
