About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care and advancing our mission to transform healthcare.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Provide operational and administrative support to Nurse leadership, actively participating in unit and hospital decision-making, and providing meaningful recognition to others.
  • Staff Management: Coordinate staffing, support throughput, quality and safety outcomes, staff competency, hiring, clinical and staff corrective actions, unit efficiency, quality care, and other departmental activities.
  • Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate nursing practice and the nursing care delivery system with direct supervision of front-line staff.
  • Communication and Policy: Interpret, support, and communicate policies, standards, and procedures, serving as a role model for staff in all aspects of nursing.
Requirements
  • Credentials: Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license, BSN required, MSN preferred, BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required.
  • Experience: Demonstrated clinical competence with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required, oncology nursing experience preferred, chemotherapy/biotherapy certification preferred.
  • Skills: Strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers, exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education, and the ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care and service based on a strong sense of patient focus.
