About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will play a critical role in supporting the execution of our nursing strategic plan and priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Support: Provide administrative support to Nurse leadership, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and effective coordination of staffing, throughput, and quality and safety outcomes.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to assess, plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate nursing practice and the nursing care delivery system, with direct supervision of front-line staff.
  • Communication and Policy: Interpret, support, and communicate policies, standards, and procedures to staff, ensuring a high level of professionalism and quality care.
  • Special Projects and On-Call: Participate in special projects as assigned and serve on-call based on unit requirements.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Current and valid New Jersey Nursing license, BSN required, MSN preferred, BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years recent nursing experience in respective specialty or equivalent, 2 years med surg experience preferred.
  • Leadership and Skills: Prior assistant manager or supervisor experience preferred, ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, strong sense of accountability for improving patient lives, exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education, and ability to deliver high-quality care and service.
