Job Title: Executive Meetings Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Meetings Manager to join our team at the Rally Hotel. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for executing all aspects of event planning, including meetings, reunions, social functions, and catering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all group business, including contact and follow-up with clients, determination and coordination of event planning needs, and effective communication with various departments.
  • Direct sales: target appointment-oriented sales calls to ensure a successful catering direct sales effort, in accordance with goals established by department budget and marketing plan.
  • Key account management: maximize current hotel key accounts by identifying and developing those that offer revenue growth.
  • New account development: capture competitor's accounts through networking, research, and reader board surveys to target and solicit those most probable to generate new business.
  • Group retention: responsible for rebooking group and applicable catering business through building strong, professional customer relationships and providing consistent outstanding customer service.
  • Account service and management: maintain well-documented, accurate, organized, and up-to-date file management to serve clients and employer in the most expedient, organized, and knowledgeable manner.
  • Develop customer profiles and maintain an effective trace system, including trace dates and references, to best meet client needs, resulting in superior account service and increased revenues.
  • Promptly follow-up on all customers' needs and inquiries in an efficient and expedient manner.
  • Time management: focus on revenue-producing activity and maximize selling time through retaining accounts/customers, maximizing account yield opportunities, and direct sales effectiveness.
  • Professionalism: control expenses on the property's behalf to minimize department and hotel costs, maximize return on all investments, and represent themselves and the hotel with the highest level of integrity and professionalism, a service-focused approach, and a caring, sincere attitude at all times.

Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year minimum hotel sales or catering experience.
  • Requires knowledge of general sales techniques, yield management experience, highly developed customer service skills, strong follow-up and guest satisfaction skills, and the ability to understand and follow verbal/written instructions.
