Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources professional to join our team as the Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development. This key role will provide strategic HR leadership and support to our statewide team, ensuring compliance with HR rules and guidelines, and overseeing recruitment, onboarding, classification, employee relations, performance management, and compensation practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical HR assistance to management and executive staff, ensuring compliance with HR regulations and guidelines.
  • Supervise a team of HR professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure effective HR operations.
  • Develop and implement strategic HR programs and practices aligned with the agency's mission, values, and strategic vision.
  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, classification, employee relations, performance management, and compensation practices.
  • Maintain knowledge of HR regulations, including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, and other employment-related laws.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or Public Administration, or equivalent education and certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP).
  • Minimum 5 years of active, technical HR experience, including employee relations and investigations.
  • Mastery of HR regulations and laws.
