Job Summary

The eTeam is seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist - Leave of Absence to manage the day-to-day interactive process related to reasonable accommodation requests and leaves of absence for union and non-union employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the Interactive Process: Collaborate with internal and external partners to oversee the coordination of leave and reasonable accommodation requests.
  • Process and Track Leave Requests: Work with the third-party leave administrator to process and track leave requests for union and non-union employees, ensuring compliance with applicable leave and accommodation laws.
  • Maintain Employee Files: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee leave and accommodation files, including internal HR workflow systems and tracking programs.
  • Provide Guidance and Support: Educate employees on leave and reasonable accommodation topics, empower them to navigate resources, and provide guidance on leave and accommodation procedures.
  • Partner with HR Business Partners: Collaborate with HR Business Partners on leave, accommodation, and attendance situations to ensure seamless support for employees.
  • Streamline HR Processes: Leverage HR systems and Microsoft Office Suite to streamline HR processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in Human Resources, Business, Communication, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of Human Resources experience with knowledge of LOA and disability principles, or 1 year of LOA and disability-specific HR experience required.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, knowledge of state and federal regulations, ADA, and Worker's Compensation, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
