Position Overview:
The Human Resources Specialist will oversee the daily operations of the Human Resources (HR) department, which includes tasks such as onboarding, offboarding, training, and the enforcement of company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
This role will involve maintaining the department's databases to ensure that all employee records are accurate, secure, and confidential. The HR Specialist will also provide support and guidance to management on various HR-related matters.

Additionally, this position will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with regulations and preparing reports to facilitate the smooth functioning of the HR department.

The HR Specialist will be responsible for creating and disseminating internal communications regarding employee status changes, benefits, and company policies. This is an on-site position, and candidates should be local to the area.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is between $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Coordinating orientation schedules for new hires and leading orientation sessions.
  • Assisting with employee recognition initiatives, including firm events and internal communications regarding company updates.
  • Responding to routine inquiries related to timekeeping and ensuring compliance with FLSA standards.
  • Serving as a point of contact for general HR inquiries within the office.
  • Executing tasks related to various HR programs, including compensation, benefits, leave management, and employee morale.
  • Supporting the Lead HR Generalist with intake of complaints, investigations, and performance management processes.
  • Collaborating with the HR team to assist with performance reviews, status change documentation, and conducting exit interviews.
  • Staying informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and advancements in HR, talent management, and employment law.

Qualifications:
Candidates should possess an Associate's Degree in HR/Business or a High School diploma, with relevant work experience considered in lieu of a degree. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources is required, along with experience in Talent Management administration.

Preferred qualifications include experience with Leave of Absences and Workers Compensation. Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are essential. Familiarity with ADP systems is a plus.
