Job Summary:

The State of Oregon is seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Contract Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for providing procurement-related functions to support the agency's mission and duties.

You will apply state and federal procurement laws, rules, policies, and procedures to carry out your duties, providing service and support to OSP sworn and professional staff throughout Oregon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure goods and services using a range of purchasing and contracting methods
  • Communicate and coordinate with various stakeholders, including the Department of Administrative Services, Enterprise Information Systems, and the Department of Justice
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in procurement processing steps due to changes in state law, regulations, policy, or management directives

Requirements:

  • Four years of procurement and contract experience, with two years at the professional level
  • OR a bachelor's degree and one year of professional-level procurement and contract experience
  • OR any combination of experience and education equivalent to four years of procurement and contract experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Oregon procurement laws and rules
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
