Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement & Contract Specialist to join our team at the Oregon State Police in Salem, Oregon. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and releasing contractual documents to procure goods and services for the department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and release contractual documents to procure goods and services for the department.
  • Perform research, evaluation, and interpretation of related laws, rules, and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Perform backup duties in the Stockroom and assist Supply Specialist as needed.
  • Provide excellent customer service, professionalism, and stewardship in all interactions.

Requirements:

  • Three years' paraprofessional or technical-level experience in a related field, such as general business, accounting, contracts, purchasing, or project administration support.
  • A bachelor's degree will substitute for the experience.
  • A one-year certificate in supply chain, logistics management, procurement, or a related field will substitute for one year of experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to organize work efficiently and conduct effectively.
  • Ability to verify information against a set of standards and verify accurateness.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to convey information in a method others can understand.
  • Ability to use logic and analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of available procurement options.
