Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Water Resources Project Engineer to join our team at RE/SPEC Inc. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about managing impactful water and wastewater projects. You will be instrumental in driving projects from initial planning through to successful execution, ensuring that we meet our clients' needs and uphold our commitment to sustainability.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado or the ability to obtain it within six months
  • Over 10 years of extensive experience in overseeing water and wastewater engineering initiatives
  • Expertise in using industry-standard software for hydraulic modeling, CAD design, and project management
  • In-depth knowledge of water treatment, distribution, and wastewater management processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts
  • Proven track record of leading diverse teams, managing multiple projects, and effectively multitasking.
Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and manage water and wastewater projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timeline
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and team members to clarify project goals, requirements, and technical specifications
  • Perform comprehensive engineering analyses, feasibility assessments, and detailed design work for water and wastewater systems
  • Draft and review engineering documentation, including reports, plans, and specifications, to maintain high-quality standards
  • Guide the permitting process and ensure compliance with relevant local, state, and federal regulations
  • Conduct site evaluations and assessments to collect vital data and provide technical support during construction
  • Oversee construction activities, maintain meticulous project records, and address any design changes or challenges that arise
  • Stay informed on industry developments, technological innovations, and best practices to continually improve project results.
Compensation and Benefits

The typical salary range for this position is between $110,000 and $140,000, with compensation determined by qualifications, skills, and experience.
