Internship Overview

We are seeking talented interns for the Summer 2024 session. As a Quality Assurance Software Intern, you will engage in meaningful projects within a vibrant, startup-like atmosphere. This internship offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in our culture while developing the skills that distinguish our development teams. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, receive guidance from experienced mentors, and gain valuable insights into our values-driven approach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop efficient testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance engineering productivity.
  • Utilize technologies such as Splunk, Pytest, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
  • Familiarize yourself with existing projects and contribute to various features and bug resolutions.
  • Write effective code to enhance test tools and frameworks, and create automated test cases using modern technologies.
  • Replicate defects in local and integration environments, writing code to resolve issues and release updated versions of tools.
  • Establish strong communication with engineers utilizing our testing tools to identify challenges and gather testing requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvements and directly influence best practices, architecture, and implementation.
Essential Qualifications
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline, with a strong academic record.
  • At least one semester or quarter remaining after the internship.
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week for a duration of 12 weeks.
Preferred Qualifications

While these qualifications are not mandatory, they are advantageous:

  • Experience in unit testing your code using relevant tools and frameworks.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming, large-scale software architecture, networking, distributed systems, and various operating environments.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Go, C++, or Java.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and microservices.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD concepts.
  • Experience with tools and technologies like Git, GitLab, AWS, Docker, or GCP.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
