Job Overview

Objective:

The Oncology Program Director is a pivotal role focused on ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction within oncology patient support initiatives. This position acts as a primary liaison, enhancing service delivery through strategic partnerships. The Program Director will spearhead cross-departmental collaboration to align client needs with Patient Service Center (PSC) objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture strong client relationships, serving as a key communication point.
  • Foster connections with key clients, external partners, and internal teams to drive program success.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
  • Serve as the internal expert on client needs, bridging communication with program leadership.
  • Lead analysis of accounts and reporting, proactively suggesting improvements to client support.
  • Collaborate with the program manager on content development and participate in formal presentations to ensure high-quality quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
  • Understand PSC objectives and effectively represent them in discussions regarding service improvements.
  • Oversee the development of solutions to monitor program metrics and assess opportunities.
  • Partner with internal teams to align with the client's long-term strategy for retention and growth.
  • Ensure the implementation of the program's Statement of Work (SOW), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and training materials.
  • Engage other PSC leadership to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure project quality and timely completion within budget.
  • Communicate project status clearly and ensure execution of tactical plans to clients.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of client contracts and ensure compliance.
  • Recruit, train, and onboard program leadership staff to support operational needs.
  • Manage contract parameters effectively across various programs.
  • Work with the program manager on profitability management, including staffing and invoicing.
  • Monitor program operations to ensure adherence to policies and service level agreements.
  • Identify opportunities for program efficiency and enhanced patient care solutions.
  • Proactively address any client or team issues that may pose a risk to PSC.
  • Ensure quality control on assigned accounts and assist in audit preparations.
  • Participate in prospective client meetings as needed.
  • Engage in additional projects and activities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in oncology within a healthcare leadership role, demonstrating progressive responsibility.
  • Strong business analytics skills to understand market drivers and develop business plans.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy reimbursement and medical benefits.
  • Experience with large healthcare provider sites and pharmacy teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of healthcare settings.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills focused on client satisfaction.
  • Able to make decisions in a dynamic work environment.
  • Proficient in managing multiple key accounts and prioritizing business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree (PharmD or MSN) preferred.
  • Experience with pharmacy hub services.
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) designation.
  • Experience in oncology/hematology pharmaceutical account management.
  • Familiarity with specialty product launches.
  • Understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry's competitive landscape.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of third-party and foundation programs.
  • Understanding of various plan types including Government and Commercial.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building productive relationships.
  • Exceptional communication skills (oral, written, presentation).
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to exceptional service within oncology.

Work Environment:

This role operates in a professional office environment with the option for telecommuting. Employees must have reliable internet access and a suitable home office setup to perform their duties effectively.
