Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will administer patient care in a setting where individuals typically receive treatment and return home the same day or in a post-acute transitional care environment. Your essential functions will include:
- Exhibiting advanced knowledge, skills, and judgment to care for patients requiring complex assessments and therapies.
- Utilizing assessment data to anticipate and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
- Identifying critical information to take immediate, evidence-based, patient-focused actions.
- Monitoring specialized equipment and interpreting electronic displays, including vital signs and cardiac rhythms.
- Responding to life-threatening situations in accordance with nursing standards and protocols.
- Assessing patient needs and developing or revising individualized care plans based on patient responses.
- Building respectful relationships with team members and patients, advocating for patient and family needs.
- Serving as a preceptor and role model for staff, supporting departmental goals and strategies.
- Documenting patient care accurately and consistently, meeting all regulatory standards.
- Maintaining compliance with all policies and procedures.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position, you must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program and hold a current registered nurse license in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). You should also possess current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification, with additional certifications required for specific areas.
