Job Summary

The BLaST Intermediate Unit #17 is seeking a highly skilled Programmer Analyst Specialist to join our team. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in software development, database management, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Design, develop, and modify Filemaker,.NET Framework, Microsoft ASP.NET applications, and.NET components.
  • Database Management: Design, develop, and maintain SQL database schemas and scripts, including views, triggers, and stored procedures.
  • System Deployment: Deploy.Net systems to various production and pre-production environments and troubleshoot issues.
  • Technical Documentation: Create technical documentation such as design documents, specifications, software architecture documents, and instructions.
  • Team Management: Manage tasks and activities for self and others.
  • Technical Support: Provide user support with a focus on customer service, respond to requests for technical assistance, and provide workstation configuration services for end users.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate Degree in Computer Programming and Three (3) Years Experience or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science with One (1) Year Experience supplemented by recognized courses in computer science technology or related field.
  • Experience: Have current knowledge, skills, and abilities relating to programming languages. Knowledgeable in Macintosh and DOS/Windows platforms as it relates to programming. Has developed verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving/conflict-resolution skills. Experience creating secure web-based applications. Experience performance tuning and troubleshooting in a secure environment.
Working Conditions

The work environment is typically moderate with occasional periods of high activity. The employee is required to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
