The Role

OWL Services is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and verifying invoices, reconciling payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and verify invoices for multiple companies
  • Set up new vendors as necessary
  • Review and reconcile AP register for checks to process
  • Charge expenses to accounts by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries
  • Prepare expense reports for ACH payments
  • Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal ID numbers, and scheduling and preparing checks
  • Examine invoice documentation for compliance with company policies
  • Maintain a filing system for all invoices and payments
  • Prepare vendor checks and remittance advice for distribution
  • Communicate with vendors and management to resolve issues
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in Accounts Payable
  • A thorough understanding of the Accounts Payable accounting process
  • Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, and Adobe
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
