Compensation Analyst Job Description

Our client in Morris County, NJ is seeking a skilled Compensation Analyst to join their team. As a Compensation Analyst, you will play a crucial role in conducting job evaluations, market pricing, and creating new jobs within the HCM system (Workday).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and Recruiting staff to conduct job evaluations and market pricing.
  • Develop and implement compensation programs to ensure effectiveness and timely execution.
  • Analyze compensation-related transactions to ensure compliance with established compensation programs.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of base and variable pay.
  • Participate in the third-party salary survey submission process to accurately assess the relevant salary market.
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of compensation-related data in the HCM (Workday) platform.
  • Develop and implement compensation policies and programs.
  • Support Executive Compensation activities, including participant eligibility, reporting, and program communication.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Compensation or a related field.
  • Working towards Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification is strongly desired.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent technical understanding; knowledge of Workday preferred.
  • Experience with the Radford Comp Database, Mercer Salary Data, and ERI (Economics Research Institute) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of stock-based compensation and equity accounting a plus
