About the Position:

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a part-time Assistant Office Manager to support the Inclusive Early Childhood Education program. The successful candidate will work 10 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, in Thompson Hall, Suite 1200.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Academic and Administrative Coordinator on daily tasks;
  • Attend to the front desk, greeting students and visitors;
  • Data entry, including updating supply inventory;
  • Sort and organize mail;
  • Adhere to front office organization and maintenance;
  • Run errands on campus;
  • Scan, photocopy, and print documents;
  • Create marketing materials to promote the program;
  • Attend marketing and student events to showcase the program's offerings;
  • Learn about and be prepared to discuss the Inclusive ECE program at events and in the office;
  • Monitor and respond to emails via the program email account;
  • Shred documents and handle recycling;
  • Make room reservations for in-person events, such as faculty meetings;
  • Other duties as assigned by the program.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Proficiency in data entry and basic office software;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information;
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
