Assistant Office Manager

About the Position:
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a part-time Assistant Office Manager to support the Inclusive Early Childhood Education program. The successful candidate will work 10 hours per week, Monday-Thursday, in Thompson Hall, Suite 1200.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Academic and Administrative Coordinator on daily tasks;
- Attend to the front desk, greeting students and visitors;
- Data entry, including updating supply inventory;
- Sort and organize mail;
- Adhere to front office organization and maintenance;
- Run errands on campus;
- Scan, photocopy, and print documents;
- Create marketing materials to promote the program;
- Attend marketing and student events to showcase the program's offerings;
- Learn about and be prepared to discuss the Inclusive ECE program at events and in the office;
- Monitor and respond to emails via the program email account;
- Shred documents and handle recycling;
- Make room reservations for in-person events, such as faculty meetings;
- Other duties as assigned by the program.
Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Proficiency in data entry and basic office software;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information;
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
