Position Summary:

The Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for welcoming patients, visitors, and staff, both in person and over the phone. This role involves registering patients, checking them in for appointments, and addressing inquiries effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the office for daily operations.
  • Screen visitors and respond to general information requests.
  • Greet patients upon arrival and verify that all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Collect co-payments when applicable and provide receipts.
  • Notify medical staff of patient arrivals.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in the Centricity database.
  • Process imaging files through the computer system.
  • Handle incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Scan relevant documents into the electronic medical record system.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to special projects as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and medical staff.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology is beneficial but not required.
