KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Laboratory General Manager, the Lead Analytical Scientist will be responsible for the creation and validation of analytical methodologies to facilitate the analysis of compounds, formulations, and materials.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Designing and conducting experiments utilizing a variety of analytical methods, such as chromatography (HPLC, GC), spectroscopy (UV-Vis, FTIR, NMR), mass spectrometry, and thermal analysis.
  • Interpreting complex data sets, resolving analytical challenges, and offering technical support to junior team members.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to tackle analytical obstacles, enhance processes, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Assessing new technologies and instruments to improve analytical capabilities and operational efficiency.
  • Preparing and reviewing technical documentation, presentations, and regulatory submissions to effectively communicate results.
  • Mentoring and training junior chemists, guiding them in experimental design, data interpretation, and career development.
  • Maintaining laboratory equipment, addressing technical issues, and overseeing calibration and maintenance tasks.
  • Implementing and complying with quality management systems, including Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and ISO standards.

POSITION TYPE & SCHEDULE:

Full-Time | Monday to Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM with a Flexible Schedule | Occasional weekend/holiday hours may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restrictions or sponsorship and will possess a blend of technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a robust work ethic. Additional qualifications include:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of practical experience in analytical method development and validation, preferably within a relevant industry.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical product quality control testing and pharmacokinetics is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in a broad spectrum of analytical techniques and instruments, with a focus on method optimization, maintenance, and troubleshooting (HPLC, LC-MS, GC-MS, GC, ICPMS, LCQTOF).
  • A solid understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ICH guidelines, ISO) and experience with regulatory submissions.
  • Exceptional data analysis capabilities and a detail-oriented approach to quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with experience in project management, team coordination, and mentorship.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information to varied audiences.
