Position Overview:
As a Lead Research Scientist specializing in Battery Materials, you will become an integral part of our innovative R&D team. Your primary focus will be on the advancement of next-generation cathode active materials and catholyte solutions tailored for ultra-fast charging and high energy density battery applications.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in hands-on laboratory work to synthesize and assess cathode electrodes.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of material properties and their electrochemical performance.
- Demonstrate a proven track record in cathode active materials, catholytes, electrode processing, and battery cell assembly.
- Collaborate with external suppliers to enhance the properties of cathode materials.
- Develop small-scale prototype cells to assess critical metrics and showcase technological innovations.
- Work effectively within cross-functional and self-organized multidisciplinary teams.
- Communicate ideas, designs, and results clearly with team members.
- Contribute to the creation of intellectual property and technical documentation.

Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field, complemented by over 5 years of experience in the lithium-ion battery sector.
- Research expertise spanning from materials synthesis to device-level applications involving cathode active materials.
- Hands-on experience in advanced High-Ni NMC, NCA, and/or MCMA materials.
- Familiarity with battery construction and electrochemical testing methodologies, including various testing systems and techniques such as EIS and CV.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and capable of managing multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) methods and Minitab software is advantageous.
- Proficiency in advanced analytical techniques such as PXRD, SEM, TEM, adsorption, PSD, and FT-IR is preferred.
