Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Scientist to join our team. This impactful and rewarding position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in machine learning and data science. The successful candidate will apply problem-solving skills and technical expertise to real-world challenges, directly impacting the company's business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement sophisticated machine learning models and algorithms.
- Manage the full machine learning pipeline, including data collection, preprocessing, development, evaluation, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate technical solutions into business operations.
- Analyze extensive datasets to identify trends and patterns, and preprocess data for enhanced model accuracy and efficiency.
- Proactively address complex business challenges using machine learning techniques and innovate creative solutions to improve the company's operations.
- Stay current with advancements in machine learning and engage in research for new methodologies applicable to the business objectives.
Qualifications
- Master's degree and 6 years of experience or equivalent in Machine Learning, Statistics, or a closely related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in machine learning, particularly in designing and implementing models in a production environment.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, and familiarity with machine learning frameworks.
- Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, data structures, and software development principles.
- Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated potential for leadership and management capabilities.
Compensation and Benefits
The typical base pay range for this role is $110,600 - $210,600 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks offers a comprehensive benefits package, including access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off, and more. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock, based on individual and/or company performance.
