RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

Team Overview:

The Regulatory Controls Management Team (RCM) plays a pivotal role in overseeing preventive (pre-trade) and detective (post-trade) controls and processes to meet various regulatory requirements within the Global Banking & Markets division.

The team is dedicated to the design, implementation, and enhancement of trading controls for Sales & Trading, which includes alert management and escalation to essential stakeholders.

Roles and Responsibilities

Design and implement preventive and detective controls for new regulatory mandates while identifying and enhancing existing controls.


Develop expertise in relevant obligations/functions and collaborate with various working groups across multiple stakeholders to ensure comprehensive risk mitigation and management.

Drive strategic initiatives aimed at streamlining the design, workflows, and processes of existing preventive and detective controls across diverse regulatory obligations.

Formulate and establish business control requirements for new regulatory implementations.

Collaborate with Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, and Engineering teams to enhance business control workflows.

Generate management reporting (e.g., metrics, dashboards) to improve visibility and facilitate escalation to obligation owners, desks, and senior leadership.

Possess knowledge of Global Banking and Markets operations and the ability to cultivate relationships with sales and trading personnel.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree

3-5 years of relevant professional experience.
Prior exposure to regulatory obligations and/or similar functions related to the regulatory landscape is preferred.

Familiarity with derivative products, sales/trading booking platforms, and trade flows.

Ability to analyze and interpret data to conduct root cause, trending, and impact analyses to inform decision-making.

Experience collaborating with Technology teams, including defining and clarifying business requirements.

Capability to manage timelines, multiple projects, and prioritize tasks in a rapidly evolving environment.

Ability to identify and articulate complex issues to a diverse group of stakeholders, propose mitigants/solutions, and escalate appropriately.

Proficiency in crafting and delivering effective presentations, metrics, and reports to a diverse audience.

Strong organizational and project management skills, with meticulous attention to detail; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively and persuasively.
