Full Time
The Schwebel Baking Company is on the lookout for motivated, dynamic individuals to join our Sales Route team.
This full-time role involves promoting and distributing Schwebel's extensive range of premium products to both established and prospective clients while operating a Schwebel delivery vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver, stock, and showcase Schwebel brand items to grocery outlets, dining establishments, educational institutions, and food distributors.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while fostering strong relationships.
- Manage early morning product deliveries.
- Identify and engage new customers to expand business opportunities.
- Share product insights and utilize suggestive selling techniques.
- Oversee the ordering of bread products.
- Conduct thorough pre and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain a tidy and organized delivery vehicle.
- Uphold a commitment to safety in all operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in route sales is preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years old for insurance compliance.
- Possess a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a DOT physical.
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to customer service.
- Experience in wholesale commercial bread sales is advantageous.
- Familiarity with handheld computing devices is required.
- Ability to adapt swiftly to varying work and driving conditions.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent activities include reaching, sitting, standing, bending, squatting, walking, kneeling, climbing, and driving.
- Occasional tasks may involve pushing or pulling weights up to 300 lbs.
Hours of work will vary based on assigned routes. We offer a competitive base salary along with a comprehensive benefits package following the probationary period.
