Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site position for an Early Childhood Educator. The educator will play a crucial role in implementing the curriculum, ensuring a secure and encouraging classroom atmosphere, and conducting assessments of students. Responsibilities include education, communication, and daily teaching activities.

Position Highlights

  • Two positions available: one in Santa Barbara and one in Carpinteria (infant/toddler focus)
  • Initial contract duration of six months, with potential for extension based on performance
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday, with varying hours between 7 AM and 5 PM, totaling eight-hour shifts
  • Classroom environment includes a mix of general and special education children, ages 0-5
  • Each classroom is staffed with two teachers and a paraprofessional, along with additional support staff
  • The curriculum is pre-established, with flexibility for modifications as needed
  • Compensation: $2200 gross weekly for those living over 50 miles from the site, or a local rate of $48 per hour

Qualifications Required

  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Possession of a Child Development Permit or an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, with at least 12 units in ECE/CD
