- Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with state and national standards for early childhood education.
- Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement educational programs and services.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Current State of California Commission on Teacher Credentialing Master Teacher Permit or higher.
- 2 years of work experience with preschool children in an instructional capacity in a child care and development program, working at least three hours per day within the last four years.
- Completion of Working with Families from Diverse Backgrounds coursework.
- Evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic, cultural, ethnicities, and abilities of children and community college students.
- Current Adult, Child, Infant CPR and Pediatric First Aid certifications.
The teaching assignment may be at the Valencia or Canyon Country campus, or other college teaching locations. Part-time faculty positions are as needed positions and do not accrue rights to tenure.
