About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Providence Saint John's Health-Child/Family-Santa Monica. As a key member of our Early Childhood Directions Program, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment that fosters the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of young children.

Responsibilities
  • Co-teach with other educators to create a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on our center's philosophy and NAEYC accreditation guidelines.
  • Organize and plan activities that promote learning and growth in children of all ages.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a seamless and supportive environment for children and families.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with families to ensure their needs are met and their children receive the best possible care.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education and implement new ideas and strategies in the classroom.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • 24 semester units of Early Childhood Education, including all CORE classes and Infant/Toddler Development.
  • Current/Valid California Commission on Teaching Credentialing - Teacher Permit.
  • 2 years of experience working with preschool-age children.
  • 6 months of supervised field experience in an early childhood setting.
  • 6 months of experience working with infants and toddlers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
