Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at Providence Health & Service. As a key member of our Early Childhood Development Center, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment that fosters the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of young children.

Responsibilities
  • Co-teach with other educators to provide a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on our center's philosophy and accreditation guidelines.
  • Plan and organize activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development in children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the diverse needs of children and families.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a smooth transition between home and school.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • 24 semester units of Early Childhood Education, including all CORE classes and Infant and Toddler Development.
  • Current/Valid California Commission on Teaching Credentialing - Teacher Permit.
  • 2 years of experience working with preschool-age children.
  • 6 months of supervised field experience in an Early Childhood setting.
  • 6 months of experience working with infants and toddlers.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
