Early Childhood Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Teacher to join our team at Providence Saint John's Health Center. As a key member of our Early Childhood Development Center, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment that fosters the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth of young children.

Responsibilities:
  • Co-teach with other educators to provide a comprehensive and developmentally appropriate curriculum
  • Plan and organize activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program
  • Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to ensure a smooth transition between home and school
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • 24 semester units of Early Childhood Education coursework, including Infant and Toddler Development
  • Current/Valid California Commission on Teaching Credentialing - Teacher Permit
  • 2 years of experience working with preschool-age children
  • 6 months of supervised field experience in an Early Childhood setting
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
